Curious what the pilot screening at Kualoa Ranch will be like? Here’s a photo to give some perspective, albeit not exactly to scale or exact placement. A few notes:
- we’ll be watching in the dark
- we’ll have seating (limited number of Adirondack and beach chairs as well as roll out blankets for ground seating so you really get a LOST feel)
- we’ll have lighting (it won’t take away from the screening – just enough to keep you safe from the smoke monster)
- we won’t be watching surfing 🙂
Although this is not an exact replica of the screen, it does give some perspective of what the viewing experience will be. The screen, which is 9 feet by 16 feet, is not an inflatable model. Due to the winds in the valley, an inflatable can very easily fly away. 🙂 Also, the screen has to be heavily staked into the ground to secure it.
It will be quite an experience to watch the pilot episode of LOST at one of the locations it filmed. After a great day spent on the ranch doing an exclusive tour and enjoying a catered welcome reception with attendees!
We are also showing LOST’s final episode while we are on the island during LOST 2020 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of its airing! We are tentatively scheduled to show the episode at Sacred Hearts Academy, a location which featured heavily (and poignantly) in the last several minutes of the series. You can learn more about the airing of the finale here.
Registration for LOST 2020 is now open! There are a limited number of tickets available. Learn more and register here.
